Multicultural Business Symposium Seeks to Create Alliances between Ethnic Groups and Partnerships with Corporations and Government Agencies

SAVANNAH, GA – (June 29, 2007) The Black Business Professionals and Entrepreneurs’ latest event, the Multicultural Business Symposium will bring together leading thinkers from the Asian, Hispanic and African American communities to extend knowledge, provide technical assistance and strategies that will foster stronger business relationships.

Collectively the ethnic communities represent $2.5 trillion dollars in buying power and are a body of people who utilize the services of corporations, government agencies and academic institutions.  The event, which has a depth of speeches, workshops and panels-as well as social and networking events- for those seeking to strengthen the business and economic landscape of this diverse community, seeks to be a bridge-builder between business and professional services providers and their end users.

The three-day symposium will take place August 2-4 and offers a solid platform for the kind of intelligent exchange, business interactivity and networking that is needed to grow business opportunities and manage challenging work environments.

“The Symposium offers an exciting change and opens a new door for us as we take the lead in creating an environment where we can learn to build on each others strengths, said Jewel Daniels, the organization’s executive director.  “The global business village demands that we find common areas in which to live, grow and work and this conference provides that opportunity.”

The Multicultural Business Symposium will be hosted at the Coastal Georgia Center in Savannah, GA with admission being free for area business people.  However, pre-registration is required and there is a cost for meal events.

Conference highlights include:

  • Presentations by Subash Razdan, President of the Asian American Chamber of Commerce (AACC) of Georgia and Sara González, President and CEO of the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (GHCC),
