A SCWBC client, Deborah Gause, won the 2007 SBA Small Business Person of the Year Runner-Up award for South Carolina. This prestigious award was presented to her at the Small Business Salute held in Columbia, SC, on April 11, 2007. Deborah Gause, owner of AccuStat EMR, was nominated by SCWBC business consultant Sarah Young.
AccuStat EMR was started in 2002 as a home-based transcription business with one employee. Now, in 2007, AccuStat EMR has grown to 8 employees and over a thousand (1000) contractors across the United States and the world. AccuStat EMR has primarily been a medical transcription company handling digital files from small and large clients. Their focus has now grown to address the entire need of the medical office, facility, or hospital to implement Electronic Medical Records (EMR) to comply with growing consumer and government requirements. Their services include EMR consultation, implementation and training; network consulting, implementation and management; and 24/7 helpdesk support in addition to their traditional scanning and transcription services. The goal of the owner is to simplify not only the lives of the medical practice employees but also her employees and contractors by constantly looking for ways to have her teams work smarter instead of harder. The future and dreams of AccuStat EMR are ever changing, but one area stays the same; and that is to be the best at their business for their employees, contractors and their clients. |
